Responding to emergencies

E-mail Print PDF

emergencyAll ten branches of South Sudan Red Cross have trained and equipped emergency action teams. The teams are capable of mobilising volunteers to respond to small and media level emergencies.

During disasters, the immediate imperative is to save lives, reduce suffering, damage and losses, and to protect, comfort and support affected people.

When an emergency happens in areas where the South Sudan Red Cross have access, acceptance and competencies, it is our basic obligation to be well prepared to use all effective means to help, according to the different needs of men, women and children.
